ABOUT GINA
Gina Sacco Marando has been working in the field of mental health since 2013, gaining experience across a variety of roles and settings. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University in January 2016 and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, New Hampshire, and Florida.
Since 2018, Gina has been in private practice, where she provides compassionate, client-centered care. Her professional experience also includes work in intensive outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as consultancy for athlete mental health. Gina holds advanced certifications in integrative medicine for mental health clinicians, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Trauma Competency, TeleMental Health treatment, fertility counseling, immigration evaluations, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
Gina has a special interest in supporting first-generation Americans, athletes, and individuals with eating disorders. Her extensive training and expertise in these areas inform her inviting, engaging, and empathic approach to therapy.
In addition to her clinical work, Gina has held leadership roles in the New York Mental Health Counselors Association Metro Chapter, serving as Secretary/Administrator from 2021 to 2023 and as President from 2023 to 2024. These roles highlight her dedication to advancing the mental health field and fostering professional growth among her peers.
